Device specification FM10 and FM10L

The field meter FM10 is an innovative redevelopment, that combines a huge functionality with a simple and intuitive handling by the application of powerful microcontroller technology. The product highlights are isotropic measurement of magnetical fields and the frequency range up to 400 kHz at a resolution of 1 nT or 0.1 V/m respectively without measuring range change-over. In addition the field meter FM10L disposes of an integrated data logger with a memory capacity of 1 GByte and several memory modes.

Versatile operations of measurement

Several field probes turn the field meter FM10 into an all-rounder for electromagnetic fields. The FM10 multi-purpose probe enables a fast and non-directional measurement of magnetical fields. Additionally there is available a probe for DC magnetic fields.

Wide frequency range

According to the field probe the frequency ranges from 10 Hz up to 400 kHz. By selecting the integrated filter operations for band-pass filter 16,6 Hz, high-pass filter 50 Hz and 2 kHz, discrete frequency ranges can be measured selectively.

High resolution without switching

The FM10 provides a dynamic range over 2000 nT or 2000 V/m respectively at a resolution of 1 nT and 0.1 V/m in each case in a single measurement range. Inconvenient range switching or autorange operations are a thing of the past.

Multifunctional indication

The high-contrast backlighted display indicates simultaneously the electric and magnetic field strength with a fast time slice of 0.25 seconds. Additionally the fractions of x-,y- and z-axis of the magnetic field strength can be recalled as discrete single values.

The device adjustment and the configuration of the data logger can be done by a comfortable menu prompt. The acoustic signal of a tone generator can be activated to generate a signal proportional to the measured field strength.

Versatile functions

The field meter FM10 provides to the user a set of additional operations: a acoustic alert notifies the overstepping of adjustable thresholds. The peak-hold-function reports even temporary appearing peak values of the field strenghth. The auto-power-off function prevents a discharge of the battery. Optionally there are available up to four AC voltage outputs.

Powerful data logger

The data logger FM10L comprises a memory capacity of 1 GByte and a real time clock to record each measured value with an exact time and date specification. The sample rate is adjustable between 0.25 seconds and 1 minute. The logger provides two operation modes: long-term analysis with a continuous mode and single-spot analysis for spacial measurement. Furthermore the device enables to record the four selectable frequency ranges simultaneously. The recorded measured values can be read from the device and the field meter can be configured by attaching a PC using the fast USB interface. The functional software FM-Data enables the processing and documentation of the recorded data.
